The Crafty Moa menu includes something for all appetites’, pub snacks, weekend lunch, evening dining and a ‘Wee Moas’ children’s menu. Using the freshest locally sourced ingredients and New Zealand’s finest high country lamb, farmed venison and seafood, no appetite will go unrewarded at the Craft Moa.
Specialities include our Slow Cooked Moa Pie (actually tender slow cooked venison in delicious red current and thyme gravy). Our cola bbq ribs are a favourite with the locals and it’s easy to see why when they are put in front of you, tender ribs with meat falling off the bone coated in delicious sticky sauce. Fresh Akaroa Salmon, tender Canterbury beef, and high country venison feature highly in our selection. For desert the House made Chocolate Lava Cake features a warm flowing centre served with fresh cream and chocolate fudge sauce, and Leo’s warm apple tarte brings back many for more.
For a quick snack on the go it’s hard to resist the crispy Makikihi Fries, a la natural or with the house made roasted garlic aioli they are hard to pass up or the new favourite is loaded with bbq pulled pork and parmesan.
