TBCC Projects - Klondyke Corner

The TBCC have adopted the section of State Highway 73 (The Great Alpine Highway) and regularly collect rubbish from the side of the road. Unfortunately, sometimes if feels like an exercise in futility. There are more cars and people traveling the road than we can possibly keep on top of the mountains of rubbish that seams to show up.

TBCC Projects - Assisting the APWT with Predator Protection

The team recently went over to Arthurs Pass and assisted the APWT build 120 predator traps for the area. These traps for fill a pivotal role in reducing the numbers of feral rats, stoats and ferrets that feed on our native birds. These traps will play a big part in reducing the predator numbers. The team, had a great time helping out, we put down our trays, knifes and toilets brushes for the day, and picked up hammers and drills. It was noisy, but a lot of fun.
